It has been an eventful week for Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders. First, they saw head coach Josh McDaniels get fired just after the trade deadline. Then fans witnessed the interim appointment of linebacker coach Antonio Pierce.

Crosby congratulated Pierce for the job and thanked McDaniels for the contributions he and his crew have made to the franchise. It was a welcome move from owner Mark Davis after a horrid 3-5 start to the season and being the only team to score 20 points just once this season.

Davis chose the correct moment to make the change, considering they will face another struggling side in the New York Giants. They will have a better chance of winning against a team that has six defeats and two wins over the likes of either the Dolphins or the Chiefs.

Crosby chose to record a short message for the Las Vegas Raiders fans (RaidersNation) to come in full voice on Sunday. However, there’s one particular part of the clip that has gone viral, and it has made things awkward.

RaidersNation What is up? It's Maxx Crosby in the building. I just got done with my practice. I just want to say that on Sunday, you need [stutters] to be out in Allegiant in full effect. It's about to be a movie.

That stuttering “need” is drawing some funny reactions from social media. Eagle-eyed commenters wrote that the “dawg” pass rusher was trying to say something else.

They pointed out that Crosby was eerily close to saying the forbidden ‘N-word.’ It won’t be surprising if someone turns this into a meme.

The 26-year-old is producing the goods once again despite an underwhelming first half for the Sin City team. Maxx Crosby already has 48 tackles and 6.5 sacks from 8 games. There are still nine games left in the season, and if he continues to perform with the same ferocity, then he might eclipse last season’s 12.5 sack tally.
